Exhibition at the House of Music

In September, as part of the celebration MOSCOW – TATARSTAN IN A UNITED FAMILY which presented scientific and cultural achievements of the two nations, was an art exhibition dedicated to the capital city of Tatarstan – Kazan. The exhibition was attended by the president of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nurgalievich Minnikhanov, minister of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Zilia Valeeva, as well as prominent figures of science, politics and culture from Russia and Tatarstan.

Soon to be released feature film ‘For Life’, is commissioned by ‘First’ channel and directed by Temo Esadze, starring Felix Aidarov and Alexander Domogarov.

Exhibition in Outer Space

June saw the return of the 17th ISS crew from their long trip to the outer space. During their 6 month trip the portraits of Alisa, Angela, Emil and Daniell Aidarovs experienced weightlessness.

Art Festival in La Costa

In June one of the most historically influential haute couture designers, Pierre Cardin, visited Russia. During his visit to the capital, Pierre Cardin took part in a formal dinner given in his honour by People’s Artist of USSR, Russia and Azerbaijan, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Arts Tair Teymurovich Salakhov.

Ilyas Aidarov also attended the event and presented Pierre Cardin with a portrait of the maestro. This work was previously exhibited at the IV Festival ‘Traditions and Modernity’ as a special project ‘Window to Paris and earned enthusiastic reviews from the audience, participants and the jury.

“I have been painted many times, but here I actually like myself” – with genuine enthusiasm praised the Aidarov’s work great Cardin, gratefully accepting the gift. Recognising the artist’s skill and appreciating his work, the fashion designer commissioned portraits of President Nicolas Sarkozy and the first lady of the state Carla Bruni.

Mr Cardin invited Ilyas to participate in an arts festival held by him at La Costa not far from Marseilles. The event was interesting and memorable for Ilyas who was honoured to become a member of the jury for the fashion show.
